The Golden Knights have now dropped two straight games despite putting up a solid effort in Game 2. Jack Eichel has been productive in this postseason, leading the team with 94 points, including 66 assists. Pavel Dorofeyev has scored 35 goals, while Vegas averages 3.34 goals per game with a power play clicking at 28.3%. But the team will need to get more defensively responsible in transition, especially after giving up nine goals in two games to start the series.

Defensively, the Golden Knights have allowed 2.61 goals per game and limited opponents to 26.1 shots a night. Adin Hill remains the most reliable goaltending option, posting a 2.47 goals against average with a .906 save percentage. Vegas also has the edge in penalty kill efficiency at 75.7% and has stayed out of the box more than Edmonton, taking only 463 penalty minutes all season. There are no injuries for Vegas heading into Game 3.

Edmonton comes in hot, riding a six-game win streak and two road victories to start this second-round series. Leon Draisaitl has led the attack with 106 points, including 52 goals and 54 assists. Connor McDavid has added 74 assists and 22 power-play assists, while the Oilers score 3.16 goals per game. The power play is strong at 23.7%.

Defensively, the Oilers have allowed 2.87 goals per game while giving up 27 shots a night. During the regular season, goalie Stuart Skinner owned a 2.81 GAA and a .896 save percentage, but Calvin Pickard has been the first option in the playoffs with a 2.71 GAA and .900 save percentage. The Oilers also hold a slight edge in penalty killing, operating at 78.2%. They will be without Mattias Ekholm on defense until at least May 20.

The Golden Knights have the better goal differential, a stronger power play, and a rested goaltending rotation with Adin Hill, who owns the better GAA and save percentage compared to Edmonton’s options. Expect Vegas to push back hard and stay alive in the series. Final Score Prediction: Vegas Golden Knights win 4-3.
