Vancouver Canucks at Edmonton Oilers Prediction

The Vancouver Canucks visit Rogers Place on Saturday to play the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals best of seven series. The opening face off will be at 9:00 PM ET and ESPN will televise the game. Vancouver defeated Edmonton 3-2 in Game 5 on Thursday to take a 3-2 lead and put Edmonton on the brink of elimination. Vancouver Canucks Preview

Vancouver used its home ice advantage and excellent defense on Thursday to pick up a much-needed 3-2 win and take the serious lead 3-2. Vancouver needs just one win in the final two games of the series to move on to the Conference Finals.

Vancouver is 10th in goals for during the playoffs at 2.73 per game and the Canucks are averaging 21.6 shots per game while scoring 17.2% of the time on the power play. Brock Boeser is the leading goal scorer for Vancouver with seven and Elias Lindholm is second with five. J.T Miller and Quinn Hughes are the leaders in assists with nine apiece, while Boeser and Miller lead in points with 12 apiece.

Edmonton Oilers Preview

Edmonton is on the brink of elimination after losing Game 5 and must win each of the final two games of the series or will be eliminated from the playoffs. Edmonton is 1-1 at home in this series against Vancouver.

Edmonton is second during the postseason in goals for with an average of 3.80 per game and is taking an average of 30.2 shots per game. Edmonton is scoring 40.0% of the time when on the power play. Zach Hyman is leading the Oilers in goals scored with nine, while Connor McDavid is the leader in assists with 16 and is second in points with 18 (2 goals, 16 assists).
