Sharks vs Wild Picks and Prediction – 3/29/2024

The San Jose Sharks will be back on the road Thursday night with a game up north in Minnesota against the Minnesota Wild. San Jose is one of the worst teams in the NHL with just sixteen wins through 71 games played riding a long losing streak into Thursday. The Sharks offense has been horrendous all season scoring just 2.21 goals on 25.6 shots. Defensively San Jose has been equally as bad allowing just over four goals per game on 35 shots. Mackenzie Blackwood was terrible in the net for San Jose last game out posting a .854 save percentage after allowing six goals on 41 shots in 60 minutes of action. William Eklund was the only real spark for San Jose with one goal and one assist in the game. Alexadner Barbanov and Klim Kostin both chipped in heavily as well for San Jose scoring one goal apiece.

The Minnesota Wild stay at home Thursday night with 34 wins on the year riding the two game skid following a one goal lost in overtime against Saint Louis. Offensively Minnesota has been lackluster scoring just 3.06 goals on 30.1 shots and have averaged two goals per game during their two game losing streak. Defensively the Wild had issues as well giving up 3.2 goals on nearly 30 shots and have allowed 5.5 goals per game over the last two outings.

Kirill Kaprizov has led the way for the Minnesota offense with 79 points and has boasted a team high 36 goals on 230 shots. Mats Zuccarello leads the team with 45 assists on the year.
