Penguins vs Blues Prediction

The Pittsburgh Penguins roll into Enterprise Center on Thursday night with a 30-34-11 record and just 11 wins on the road. They’re coming off a tight 1-0 overtime win over Ottawa but had dropped four of five before that. The St. Louis Blues are red hot right now, winning five straight, including a 2-1 OT win against Detroit. They sit at 41-28-7 and have been solid at home with a 21-14-3 record. Hit the ice running with our NHL picks.

Pittsburgh finally got a win against Ottawa, thanks to some solid goaltending, but the road trip has been a mess with losses to Buffalo, Tampa Bay, and Florida where they allowed 17 goals in three games. The scoring has been inconsistent all season, and they haven’t found answers beyond Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell. Crosby leads with 81 points and 54 assists, and Rakell is the top goal scorer with 32.

Defensively, the Penguins are allowing 3.57 goals per game, which puts pressure on a goaltending tandem that hasn’t delivered consistently. Alex Nedeljkovic and Tristan Jarry both hold a weak .892 save percentage and over 3.19 goals against. The penalty kill is decent at 77.8%, and the power play has been one of the few bright spots at 24.3%. Injuries to players like Tommy Novak and Bokondji Imama create problems with depth.

St. Louis is in a groove and showing a playoff-caliber push at the right time. They’ve won 10 straight and are winning tight games against good teams like Colorado and Nashville. Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas are leading the charge, both with 32 and 19 goals, respectively. Thomas also has 50 assists, keeping the offense humming even in low-scoring matchups.

The defense has been stout, allowing just 2.81 goals per game. Goaltending has been key — Joel Hofer has a 2.62 GAA and .905 save percentage, and Jordan Binnington is holding steady with a .902 save rate. The penalty kill sits at 73.1%, which is below average, but even-strength play has carried them. Losing Colton Parayko on the blue line is a hit.

Penguins vs Blues Pick Analysis

The Blues are rolling with five straight wins and the defense is clearly separating them from struggling teams like Pittsburgh. The Penguins are bleeding goals and can’t get consistent play in net, while St. Louis has clamped down defensively and has a red-hot goaltending duo. Pittsburgh’s weak 11-20-6 road record doesn’t help either. Final Score Prediction: St. Louis Blues win on the puck line 4-2.
