The Pittsburgh offense was nonexistent scoring no goals in the game despite 29 shots on goal.  Anthony Beauvillier  was the most effective piece in the Pittsburgh offense with six shots in the game and exactly 14 minutes on the ice.

The Detroit Red Wings will be at home Thursday night for game one of the 2024 season. Detroit had a mediocre preseason finishing things off 3-3-2 over all after losing 5 of the last 6 games. Offensively Detroit averaged just 1.88 goals per game in the preseason. Defensively Detroit struggled immensely giving up three goals per game through their seven preseason games.

Ville Husso struggled in the net for Detroit posting a .909 save percentage after giving up three goals on 33 shots and just under 58 minutes on the ice.
