The Washington Capitals will welcome home ice Friday night down by two games in this series. Offensively Washington averaged 2.63 goals on 26.5 shots per game during the regular season but have averaged just two goals through the 1st 2 outings. Defensively Washington has struggled as well having given up goals in each game nearly a goal up from their season average.

Charlie Lindgren struggled immensely in the net for Washington in game 2 giving up four goals on 28 shots to boast a .857 save percentage in just over 57 minutes on the ice. Tom Wilson led the way for the Washington offense with one goal and one assist in 19.5 minutes on the ice. Connor McMichael and Dylan Strome chipped in as well scoring one goal each.
