Oilers vs Golden Knights Prediction

Edmonton looks to close out the series tomorrow night in Vegas after shutting out the Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 4. The Oilers lead the series 3-1 and have now won three of the last four matchups. Vegas is in a win-or-go-home situation on home ice at T-Mobile Arena. Edmonton enters at 48-29-5 while Vegas is 50-22-10 this season. Hit the ice running with our NHL picks.

Edmonton has full control of the series after a dominant Game 4 where Stuart Skinner made 27 saves for the shutout. The Oilers also got a big-time goal from Leon Draisaitl, who continues to be unstoppable with 52 goals and 106 points this year. Connor McDavid hasn’t had a breakout scoring game yet in the series, but his 74 assists speak to how much he creates offensively. Edmonton’s power play is at 23.7% and has already burned the Vegas penalty kill in this series.

Defensively, Edmonton holds the edge in goal production and special teams. The Oilers allow just 2.87 goals per game and own a solid 78.2% penalty kill. Despite missing Mattias Ekholm on the blue line and Calvin Pickard in net, they’ve locked in at the right time. Stuart Skinner (2.81 GAA, .896 SV%) and Calvin Pickard (2.71 GAA, .900 SV%) have both done enough to win. The Oilers are also outshooting opponents 32 to 27 per game.

Vegas is up against the wall and must bounce back after being blanked in Edmonton. The Golden Knights only have one win in this series, a tight 4-3 decision in Game 3, but dropped both home games earlier. Jack Eichel has 94 points on the year and remains the top playmaker, but goals have dried up. Pavel Dorofeyev leads the team with 35 goals but hasn’t found the net consistently in this series.

Defensively, the Golden Knights have given up 16 goals in four games, and Adin Hill (.906 SV%, 2.47 GAA) needs to be better if Vegas wants to force a Game 6. The Golden Knights still have an edge in overall goals per game (3.34) and a top-tier power play at 28.3%, but the penalty kill is struggling at just 75.7%. They’ve been outshot, outhustled, and now are dealing with injuries to Brandon Saad, who is not expected to return for this must-win game.

Oilers vs Golden Knights Pick Analysis

Edmonton’s top line is rolling, and Draisaitl continues to torch the Golden Knights every night. The Oilers' power play and shot advantage are creating too many chances for Vegas to handle, and Skinner’s shutout in Game 4 shows the defense is dialed in. Vegas is struggling on special teams and hasn’t shown enough offense to flip the series. Final Score Prediction: Edmonton Oilers win 4-2.
