Oilers vs Panthers Prediction

Florida punched hard in Game 3, hammering Edmonton 6-1 to take a 2-1 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers need a quick response heading into Game 4 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Edmonton enters at 48-29-5, while the Panthers sit at 47-31-4. Puck drops at 6:00 PM ET on June 12. Hit the ice running with our NHL picks.

Edmonton needs to bounce back after a disastrous Game 3 showing, where they allowed six goals and barely challenged Florida’s defense. They blew a lead in Game 2 before losing in double overtime and barely held on in Game 1. If Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl don’t take over, this series might be out of reach fast. Zach Hyman being out hurts even more now, especially with the Oilers struggling to score consistently.

Defensively, Edmonton is getting exposed. Stuart Skinner has a 2.84 GAA and .894 save percentage, and he’s giving up goals in bunches. The Oilers allow 3.11 goals per game and kill 78.2% of penalties. The penalty minutes (607) have been a problem, and that’s a big deal against Florida’s potent 23.5% power play. On offense, they still average 3.89 goals, largely thanks to McDavid’s 31 points and Draisaitl’s 29, but the pressure is sky high now.

Florida is red-hot and just slapped Edmonton around on the road. Sam Bennett is leading the way with 20 points on 14 goals and 6 assists, and Brad Marchand is second in goals with 8. The Panthers have won two straight, and that 6-1 blowout shows they’re more physical, more prepared, and far more balanced so far.

Defense has been the strength of Florida all postseason, and Sergei Bobrovsky has been rock solid with a 2.16 GAA and .916 SV%. The Panthers allow just 2.40 goals per game, which tops all playoff teams. They're disciplined with the puck and force teams into bad spots. Florida also scores 4.00 goals per game and racks up plenty of shots (31.6 per game), showing they don’t need to rely on one guy.

Oilers vs Panthers Pick Analysis

This is Florida’s game to lose. The Panthers are healthier, better defensively, and Bobrovsky is outdueling Skinner by a good margin. Edmonton's scoring edge has dried up, and with Hyman out, they lack finishers. Florida’s home record is 27-12-2, and the special teams have a slight edge too. Final Score Prediction: Florida Panthers win 4-2.
