Tage Thompson provided the only real burst for the Buffalo offense scoring the lone goal of the game, while two other Sabres added one assist each.

The Dallas Stars will be back home Tuesday with 49 wins on the year having won for the last five. Offensively Dallas is one of the best teams in hockey averaging 3.68 goals on 31.7 shots per game. Defensively the Stars have held their own as well allowing just 2.89 goals on 28.9 shots despite giving up four in their most recent victory.

Jake Oettinger had some issues in the net for Dallas in their last outing boasting a .895 save percentage for giving up four goals on 38 shots but did enough down the stretch to hang on for the victory. Tyler Seguin led the way for the Dallas offense with two goals on three shots in the game. Jamie Benn chipped in one goal and two assists on three shots. Matt Duchene came up big as well with one goal and one assist in just over 15 minutes of game time.
