Bruins vs Ducks Prediction

Boston rolls into Anaheim in a bad way, riding a six-game losing streak after a rough 7-2 loss to the Kings. The Bruins are now 30-33-9 overall and just 11-21-3 on the road. Anaheim hasn’t looked great either, dropping four of its last five, including a 5-2 loss to Carolina at home. The Ducks sit at 30-32-8 and have gone 16-16-2 at Honda Center. The Bruins are stuck in a serious funk. Over the last five games, Boston has been outscored 26-8. David Pastrnak remains the lone bright spot with 34 goals, 50 assists, and 84 points, but the help around him has disappeared. Jeremy Swayman has struggled between the pipes, losing 25 games with a 3.12 GAA and a .892 save percentage. The Bruins' power play has been weak at just 14.6%, and the penalty kill hasn’t saved them either at 76.4%.

Defensively, Boston has allowed 3.26 goals per game while taking 730 penalty minutes—far too undisciplined for a team trying to stay afloat. They’re also getting outshot nearly every night. Injuries haven’t helped with Mark Kastelic still being out. The goaltending situation is tough—Swayman’s numbers are down, and Korpisalo has only seen 21 starts.

Anaheim hasn’t been much better but did grab a solid 4-1 win over Nashville recently. The offense isn’t explosive, but Troy Terry has led the way with 19 goals and 32 assists. Frank Vatrano is right behind him with 20 goals. The Ducks have shown flashes of being dangerous, but inconsistency has plagued them all season. With a 16-16-2 home record, they’ve at least been competitive at home.

The Ducks' defense has been slightly better than Boston’s, giving up 3.13 goals per game, but they’re allowing 32.2 shots per contest. Goaltending has been the one area where Anaheim holds an edge—Lukas Dostal owns a 2.99 GAA and .907 SV%, and John Gibson has been even better in limited action with a .913 SV%. The penalty kill is worse than Boston's at 72.5%.

Bruins vs Ducks Pick Analysis

Boston looks lost right now. Six straight losses, a collapsing defense, poor goaltending, and an offense that’s dried up completely. Pastrnak can’t do everything himself. Anaheim’s numbers aren’t amazing, but the Ducks are more stable in goal and have been more disciplined. Dostal and Gibson give the Ducks a big edge in net, and they’ve been more competitive at home. Final Score Prediction: Anaheim Ducks win 4-2.
