Wizards vs Pistons Picks and Prediction – 3/11/2025

The Wizards (13-50) have dropped 24 of their first 30 road games and own the worst overall record in the NBA. Last night, Washington was outscored by 15 points during the third quarter of a 119-104 road loss against Toronto. 

Number two overall draft pick Alex Sarr and Jordan Poole led Washington with 16 points apiece on a combined 11-for-31 shooting effort. Tristan Vukcevic added 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Wizards, who missed 39 of 55 three-point attempts. 

The Detroit Pistons split four games on their recent West Coast road trip and trail Indiana by a half-game for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons (36-29) rank tenth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 113.1 points per contest. On Sunday, Detroit shot 49 percent from the field and controlled the glass during a 119-112 road victory against Portland. 

All-Star G Cade Cunningham led six Detroit players in double figures with 28 points (9-17 FG) and five assists. Veteran F Tobias Harris chipped in 20 points on 9-for-13 shooting and pulled down nine boards. Jalen Duren added 18 points (7-10 FG) and ten rebounds for the Pistons. 

Detroit F Jaden Ivey is still sidelined with a lower leg injury and hopes to return to the lineup later this month. The Wizards are playing at the fourth fastest tempo in the league and offer little resistance on the defensive end. Look for the Pistons to have their way at home in a game that soars over the total.
