Wizards vs Hornets Picks and Prediction – 2/4/2025

The Wizards (7-41) have dropped 21 of their first 23 road games and own the worst overall record in the NBA. On Saturday, Washington snapped a 16-point losing streak with a 105-103 road victory against Minnesota. 

Washington F Kyle Kuzma scored a season-high 31 points on 13-for-24 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Jordan Poole chipped in 19 points (6-13 FG) and four boards. Jonas Valanciunas added 13 points and ten rebounds for the Wizards, who connected on 15-for-33 from long distance. 

The Charlotte Hornets are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and own the second worst record in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets (12-34) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a shade below 107 points per contest. On Saturday, Charlotte was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 107-104 home loss versus Denver. 

Miles Bridges led five Charlotte players in double figures with 24 points (10-23 FG) and 12 rebounds. Mark Williams added 20 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks. Nick Smith Jr. scored 19 points for the Hornets, who outrebounded the Nuggets by a 51-43 margin.  

Number two overall draft pick Alex Sarr is dealing with an ankle injury and has been officially ruled out of this game. The Hornets are playing without injured G LaMelo Ball and have not generated much offense in his absence. Take the Wizards to string together consecutive victories.
