Wizards vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 2/6/2025

The Wizards (8-41) have won consecutive games and still own the worst overall record in the NBA. On Monday, Washington outscored Charlotte by 21 points during the second quarter of a 124-114 road victory. 

Washington G Bilal Coulibaly tallied a game-high 26 points on 9-for-16 shooting and pulled down five boards. Corey Kispert knocked down 5-for-9 from long distance and finished with 25 points off the bench. Kyle Kuzma added 22 points and four rebounds for the Wizards, who outrebounded the Hornets by a 54-46 margin. 

The Brooklyn Nets have won three straight games and are one of the bottom feeders in the Eastern Conference hierarchy. The Nets (17-33) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring an NBA worst 105.5 points per contest. Last night, Brooklyn shot 46 percent from the field and made the plays down the stretch to earn a 99-97 home victory versus Houston. 

Keon Johnson led five Brooklyn players in double figures with 22 points (7-16 FG) and four boards. Nic Claxton and Tosan Evbuomwan scored 14 points apiece on a combined 14-for-21 shooting effort. D’Angelo Russell added ten points and five assists for the Nets, who improved to 6-16 at home. 

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas (hamstring) has started individual workouts and hopes to return shortly after the All-Star Break. If Luka Doncic can get dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers, then anything in today’s NBA is possible. Take the Wizards to extend their winning streak to three.
