Jazz vs Spurs Picks and Prediction – 11/22/2024

The Jazz (3-11) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak and own the worst overall record in the Western Conference standings. On Tuesday, Utah trailed by 12 points after one quarter and allowed Los Angeles to shoot 55 percent from the field during a 124-118 road loss. 

All-Star F Lauri Markkanen led five Utah players in double figures with 25 points (9-16 FG) and eight rebounds. Collin Sexton scored 19 points on 6-for-12 from the floor. John Collins and Keyontae George added 18 points apiece for the Jazz.

The San Antonio Spurs are playing without head coach Gregg Popovich (illness) and have won six of their first nine home games. The Spurs (7-8) rank sixth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 109.6 points per contest. On Tuesday, San Antonio outscored Oklahoma City by 13 points during the third quarter and held on for 110-104 home victory.

Keldon Johnson led a balanced San Antonio scoring attack with 22 points (7-15 FG) in 29 minutes off the bench. Veteran F Harrison Barnes scored 20 points and finished with a plus 17 rating. Chris Paul added 14 points and 11 assists for the Spurs, who connected on 19-for-46 from the three-point line. 

San Antonio F Victor Wembanyama (knee) was ruled out of Tuesday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this game. The Jazz are offering little to no resistance on the defensive end of the floor and the Spurs would lack rim protection if Wembanyama is unable to go. Take the over.
