Jazz vs Timberwolves Prediction

The regular season finale sees the 17-64 Utah Jazz heading to Minneapolis to face the 48-33 Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center. The Jazz are limping into this matchup after a blowout 145-111 home loss to Oklahoma City, while Minnesota just picked up back-to-back wins, including a dominant 117-91 victory over Brooklyn. Utah has lost four of its last five, and the Timberwolves are heating up just in time. Score big in the NBA with our insider NBA picks.

Utah is closing the season at rock bottom of the Western Conference and has dropped nine of its last ten games. The lone win came in an overtime shootout against Portland, but the defense continues to be a disaster. In the latest loss to the Thunder, the Jazz allowed 145 points and offered little resistance throughout. Collin Sexton remains the lone bright spot, averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting 48% from the field and 86.5% at the line.

Defensively, Utah is a mess. The Jazz are giving up 124.5 points per game over the last five outings and rank near the bottom in all major stats. On the year, they allow 119.9 points a night while recording just 4.4 blocks and 6.8 steals per game. Injuries are piling up as well, with Isaiah Collier, Elijah Harkless, KJ Martin, John Collins, and Walker Kessler all listed as game-time decisions. Their road record is an awful 7-33.

Minnesota, meanwhile, is locked into a top-eight seed and is hitting stride at the perfect time. The Timberwolves have won four of their last five games and dominated Brooklyn on Friday night with a 26-point win. Anthony Edwards has been carrying the load, pouring in 27.4 points per game while hitting 44.7% from the field and nearly 84% from the stripe. The Wolves’ recent offensive rhythm has been on full display, averaging 117.4 points over the last five games.

Defensively, Minnesota ranks among the league's best. The Timberwolves allow only 107.9 points per game and hold opponents to just 45.1% shooting. They also average 4.9 blocks and 8.0 steals per game. Joe Ingles is questionable, but the team is otherwise healthy. At home, they’ve gone 24-16 and have outscored opponents by an average of 6.5 points.

Jazz vs Timberwolves Pick Analysis

Minnesota is the better team on both ends, riding strong momentum, and has the defense to completely shut down a Utah squad that’s been cooked for weeks. With Edwards rolling and Utah’s injury list growing, this one’s set up for a blowout. The Timberwolves' top-five defense and Utah's 7-33 road record leave little doubt. Final Score Prediction: Minnesota Timberwolves win 125-102.
