Spurs vs Jazz Picks and Prediction – 11/27/2024

The Spurs (9-8) have won three straight games and have moved into a tie with Dallas for ninth place in the Western Conference standings. On Saturday, San Antonio outscored Golden State by 20 points during the fourth quarter of a 104-94 home victory. 

Former number one overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama led the way with 25 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. San Antonio F Harrison Barnes chipped in 22 points and eight rebounds against his former team. Rookie Stephon Castle added 19 points for the Spurs, who held the Warriors to 38 percent shooting. 

The Utah Jazz have dropped five of their first seven home games and own the second worst overall record in the Western Conference. The Jazz (4-12) rank 29th in the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 118.5 points per game. On Saturday, Utah outscored New York by 15 points in the second quarter and withstood a second half rally to earn a 121-106 home victory. 

All-Star F Lauri Markkanen tallied a game-high 34 points on 11-for-15 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Utah G Collin Sexton contributed 25 points (9-14 FG) and five assists. John Collins added 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Jazz, who dominated the Knicks on the glass by a 52-40 margin. 

San Antonio F Keldon Johnson (hamstring) did not play during Saturday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this game. The Spurs are the better defensive team and the Jazz have no answer for Wembanyama. Take San Antonio to win on the road. Final Score Prediction, San Antonio Spurs win 117-109.
