Spurs vs Pistons Picks and Prediction – 3/25/2025

In Tuesday night NBA action, the San Antonio Spurs will travel to Little Caesars Arena to take on the Detroit Pistons. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Spurs (31-39) have dropped 22 of their first 33 road games and are playing without All-Star F Victor Wembanyama for the remainder of the season. On Sunday, San Antonio raced out to a 20-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 123-89 road victory against Toronto. 

San Antonio G Devin Vassell led all scorers with 25 points on 11-for-14 shooting and pulled down six boards. Julian Champagnie scored 20 points (6-9 FG) in 23 minutes off the bench. Rookie G Stephin Castle added 15 points and five rebounds for the Spurs, who converted 27 of 32 free-throw attempts. 

The Detroit Pistons are three games above .500 at home and trail Milwaukee by one game for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons (40-32) rank ninth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 113.1 points per contest. On Sunday, Detroit nailed 13-for-27 from long range and shot 55 percent overall during a 136-130 home victory versus lowly New Orleans. 

Ronald Holland II led a balanced Detroit scoring attack with 26 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Jalen Duren controlled the interior with 22 points (8-11 FG) and 12 rebounds. Dennis Schroder added 16 points and five assists for the Pistons. 

San Antonio G De’Aaron Fox will undergo surgery to repair a torn tendon in his left pinkie finger and will miss the remainder of the season. The Pistons were not focused defensively against the Pelicans and I expect them to come out with more intensity. Take Detroit to win and cover at home.
