Trail Blazers vs Heat Picks and Prediction – 1/22/2025

The Miami Heat are three games above .500 at home and trail Orlando by a half-game for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat (21-20) rank 12th in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 110 points per contest. On Sunday, Miami erupted for 82 points during the second half of a 128-107 home victory versus San Antonio. 

Kel’el Ware tallied a game-high 25 points (10-18 FG) and eight rebounds in 34 minutes off the Miami bench. Duncan Robinson knocked down 5-for-7 from long distance and finished with 21 points. Terry Rozier added 20 points and five assists for the Heat. 

Portland G Anfernee Simons did not play during Sunday’s victory due to an elbow injury and is listed as day-to-day. The Trail Blazers rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency, so the under is worth a look. The stronger play is on Miami to win and cover at home.
