Trail Blazers vs Pistons Picks and Prediction – 1/7/2025

The Detroit Pistons have won three straight games and trail a pair of teams by a half-game for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons (17-18) rank 18th in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 111.8 points per game. On Saturday, Detroit built a 12-point halftime lead and cruised to a 119-105 home victory versus Minnesota. 

Former number one overall draft pick Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 40 points (15-29 FG), nine assists, and six rebounds. Malik Beasley scored 23 points in 33 minutes off the bench. Tobias Harris added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who outrebounded the Timberwolves by a 47-33 margin. 

Detroit G Jaden Ivey underwent successful surgery to repair a broken fibula in his left leg and will be sidelined until March.
