Suns vs Clippers Picks and Prediction – 11/1/2024

In the second game of a Thursday night NBA TV doubleheader, the Phoenix Suns will square off against the LA Clippers from the brand new Intuit Dome. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Suns (3-1) were swept in the first round of the playoffs last season and currently rank tenth in the league in defensive efficiency. On Monday, Phoenix outscored Los Angeles by 11 points during the fourth quarter to rally for a 109-105 home victory.

All-Star G Devin Booker converted all eight free-throw attempts and finished with a game-high 33 points. All-Star F Kevin Durant contributed 30 points (11-20 FG), eight rebounds, and four assists for the Suns. Royce O’Neale added 12 points and nine rebounds off the Phoenix bench. 

The LA Clippers lost All-Star G Paul George to Philadelphia in free agency and are playing without All-Star F Kawhi Leonard (knee) for an extended period of time. The Clippers (2-2) are looking for their first win in their beautiful new home and are holding teams to 108 points per game. Last night, LA was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 106-105 home loss versus Portland. 

LA G Norman Powell led all scorers with 30 points on 11-for-22 shooting and grabbed five rebounds. James Harden added 19 points (6-18 FG) and ten assists for the Clippers, who missed eight of 18 free-throw attempts.

LA C Mo Bamba (knee) did not play in last night’s game and is expected to remain sidelined for this contest. These two teams have similar statistical profiles, but the Clippers are the better rebounding team. Take LA to win at home. Final Score Prediction, LA Clippers win 112-109.
