76ers vs Raptors Picks and Prediction – 10/25/2024

The Philadelphia 76ers finished three games above .500 on the road a season ago and are in search of their first conference finals appearance in more than 20 years. On Wednesday, Philadelphia allowed Milwaukee to shoot 54 percent from the field during a 124-109 home loss. 

All-Star G Tyrese Maxey led six Philadelphia players in double figures with 25 points on a woeful 10-for-31 shooting effort. Kelly Oubre Jr. added 21 points and finished with a minus 20 rating for the 76ers, who missed 23 of 31 from the three-point line. 

The Toronto Raptors dealt talented forwards Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby before last year’s trade deadline. The Raptors are focusing their rebuilding effort around All-Star G/F Scottie Barnes and are looking to improve at home after dropping 30 of 41 games at Scotiabank Arena a season ago. On Wednesday, Toronto was outscored by 19 points during the second quarter and allowed Cleveland to shoot 59 percent from the field during an ugly 136-106 home loss. 

Chris Boucher nailed 4-for-5 from long distance and finished with a team-high 18 points in 20 minutes off the bench. Second-year pro Gradey Dick added 16 points on 5-for-13 shooting. The rest of the Toronto starters combined for 31 points on a subpar 10-for-30 shooting. 

Toronto F R.J. Barrett (shoulder) participated in Thursday’s practice and is expected to make his season debut in this game. The 76ers played without All-Stars Paul George and Joel Embiid on opening night. Take the Raptors to bounce back with a home victory. Toronto Raptors win 112-107.
