76ers vs Magic Picks and Prediction – 11/16/2024

The 76ers (2-9) have been ravaged by injuries throughout the first month of the season and own the second worst overall record in the Eastern Conference. On Wednesday, Philadelphia missed 29 of 43 three-point attempts during a 114-106 home loss versus Cleveland. 

Philadelphia rookie G Jared McCain poured in a game-high 34 points on 12-for-26 shooting and dropped ten dimes. Kelly Oubre Jr. added 20 points (8-14 FG) and six rebounds for the 76ers, who were outscored 64-52 in the second half. 

The Orlando Magic have reeled off six straight home victories to start the season and are playing without All-Star F Paolo Banchero (oblique). The Magic (7-6) rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 103.7 points per contest. On Wednesday, Orlando outscored Indiana by eight points over the final 12 minutes to earn a 94-90 home victory. 

Orlando F Franz Wagner tallied a game-high 29 points on 9-for-24 shooting and dished out six assists. C Goga Bitadze contributed 12 points (6-7 FG) and 12 rebounds for the Magic, who outrebounded the Pacers by a 51-41 margin.

Philadelphia played without Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (knee) during Wednesday’s loss. Both are considered questionable for this game. The 76ers have taken a load management approach with their stars to keep them healthy for the postseason. Philadelphia is in need of victories to get to the playoffs and will get one on Friday.
