76ers vs Pacers Picks and Prediction – 10/27/2024

The Sunday NBA schedule will tip off with a matinee between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Indiana Pacers from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The 76ers (0-2) have played their first two games without injured All-Stars Joel Embiid and Paul George. On Friday, Philadelphia shot just 38 percent from the field during a 115-107 road loss against Toronto. 

Philadelphia G/F Kelly Oubre Jr. led all scorers with 28 points on 9-for-17 shooting. All-Star G Tyrese Maxey added 24 points (6-23 FG) and four assists for the 76ers, who were dominated on the glass by a 54-28 margin.

The Indiana Pacers won 26 of 41 home games last year and made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers (1-1) ranked second in the league in offensive efficiency a season ago, but are currently ranked 18th in that category. On Friday, Indiana was outscored by 15 points during the second quarter and allowed New York to shoot 52 percent from the field during a 123-98 road loss. 

Benedict Mathurin led five Indiana players in double figures with 20 points (8-13 FG) in 24 minutes off the bench. Myles Turner added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Pacers, who missed 27 of 30 three-point attempts.

Indiana C James Wiseman suffered a torn left Achilles and will miss the remainder of the season. The 76ers were bullied during Friday’s loss and they have some value to rebounds. The stronger play is on the over. Final Score Prediction, Indiana Pacers win 119-116.
