Magic vs Jazz Picks and Prediction – 2/1/2025

The Magic (24-25) have lost eight of their previous ten games and have fallen a half-game behind Miami for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Thursday, Orlando was outscored by 20 points during the second half of an ugly 119-90 road loss against Portland. 

Orlando F Franz Wagner led all scorers with 24 points on 8-for-17 shooting. Former number one overall draft pick Paolo Banchero scored 21 points and finished with a minus 23 rating. Cole Anthony added 16 points off the bench for the Magic, who missed 21 of 26 three-point attempts. 

The Utah Jazz are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak and own the worst overall record in the Western Conference. The Jazz (10-36) rank near the bottom of the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering a shade below 119 points per contest. On Thursday, Utah was torched for 81 points during the second half of a 138-113 home loss versus Minnesota. 

Keyonte George converted all seven field goal attempts and led six Utah players in double figures with 23 points. Collin Sexton added 19 points (5-9 FG) and five assists for the Jazz, who allowed the Timberwolves to shoot a scorching 60 percent from the field. 

Orlando G Jalen Suggs is hobbled by a quadriceps injury and is listed as questionable for this game. The Magic rank fourth in the league in defensive efficiency and are coming off an embarrassing defeat. The Jazz are barely fielding a competitive team. Take Orlando to bounce back in a big way.
