Magic vs Hawks Picks and Prediction – 4/13/2025

The final day of the NBA regular season will tip off with a matinee between the Orlando Magic and the Atlanta Hawks from State Farm Arena. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Magic (41-40) are riding a five-game winning streak and rank second in the league in defensive efficiency. On Friday, Orlando outscored Indiana by 23 points during the second quarter and shot 58 percent from the field during a 129-115 road triumph against Indiana. 

Trevelin Queen led all scorers with 25 points on a 9-for-11 shooting performance in 30 minutes off the Indiana bench. Anthony Black contributed 21 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Jett Howard added 17 points for the Magic, who improved to 19-21 on the road. 

The Atlanta Hawks are a game above .500 at home and will have to go on the road to face Orlando in the first round of the NBA Play-In Tournament. The Hawks (39-42) rank 19th in the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 119.5 points per contest. On Friday, Atlanta assisted on 28 of 45 made field goals and shot 48 percent overall during a 124-110 road victory against lowly Philadelphia. 

All-Star G Trae Young poured in a game-high 36 points on 10-for-22 shooting and dished out 11 assists. Caris LeVert scored 31 points on 12-for-15 shooting in 30 minutes off the Atlanta bench. Number one overall draft pick Zaccharie Risacher added 12 points for the Hawks. 

Atlanta F Larry Nance Jr. (knee) and Orlando G Jalen Suggs (knee) will be unavailable for the postseason. These two teams will face each other for a chance to secure the seventh seed on Tuesday, so I would not expect many key players to be on the floor. Take the Hawks to win at home.
