Knicks vs Pistons Picks and Prediction – 11/1/2024

The Knicks (2-2) made some big moves in the offseason and currently rank third in the league in offensive efficiency. On Wednesday, New York used a 25-8 second half run to earn a 116-107 road triumph against Miami. 

All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns scored a season-high 44 points on a 17-for-25 shooting performance and grabbed 13 rebounds. All-Star G Jalen Brunson added 22 points (6-18 FG) and nine assists for the Knicks, who connected on 18-for-40 from the three-point line. 

The Detroit Pistons suffered through an NBA record 28-game losing streak last season and are hoping that new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff can get things turned around. The Pistons (1-4) have been more competitive through their first five games and rank 19th in the league in defensive efficiency. On Wednesday, Detroit outscored Philadelphia by 13 points during the second quarter of a 105-95 road victory.

G Jaden Ivey led five Detroit players in double figures with 23 points on 9-for-17 from the floor. Former number one overall draft pick Cade Cunningham contributed 22 points and seven assists. Tobias Harris added 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Pistons, who outrebounded the 76ers by a 49-37 margin.

New York C Mitchell Robinson is recovering from an ankle injury and will not make his season debut until December.
