Knicks vs Hornets Picks and Prediction – 3/20/2025

The Knicks (43-25) are seven games above .500 on the road and are sitting comfortable in third place in the Eastern Conference standings. Last night, New York trailed by 24 points at halftime during a 120-105 road loss against San Antonio. 

All-Star F/C Karl-Anthony Towns posted a game-high 32 points on 11-for-21 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby scored 14 points apiece on a dismal 10-for-28 from the floor. Mitchell Robinson added 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for the Knicks. 

The Charlotte Hornets have dropped 25 of their first 35 home games and own the second worst overall record in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets (17-51) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 105.7 points per game. On Tuesday, Charlotte was outscored by 19 points during the second half of an ugly 134-102 home loss versus Atlanta. 

Seth Curry and DaQuan Jeffries led seven Charlotte players in double figures with 19 points each on a combined 14-for-23 shooting effort. Damion Baugh added 11 points (4-11 FG) and nine rebounds for the Hornets, who were outrebounded by a 46-39 margin. 

New York G Jalen Brunson is recovering from an ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined until early next month. These two squads rank in the bottom third of the league in tempo and the Knicks are playing much better defense since C Mitchell Robinson returned.
