Knicks vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 1/22/2025

The Knicks (28-16) are six games above .500 on the road and trail Boston by two games for second place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Monday, New York outscored Atlanta by 13 points during the third quarter of a 119-110 home victory.

All-Star G Jalen Brunson tallied a game-high 34 points on 12-for-18 shooting and dished out six assists. New York G/F Mikal Bridges scored 26 points on 12-for-17 from the field. Josh Hart added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Knicks, who forced a season-high 23 turnovers. 

The Brooklyn Nets have dropped 12 of their first 17 home games and trail Chicago by four games for tenth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Nets (14-29) rank 25th in the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 114 points per contest. On Sunday, Brooklyn was outscored by 20 points during the first quarter of an ugly 127-101 road loss against Oklahoma City. 

Cameron Johnson and Tyrese Martin led Brooklyn with 15 points apiece on a combined 12-for-23 shooting effort. Nic Claxton added 11 points and five rebounds for the Nets, who missed 31 of 43 three-point attempts. 

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas (hamstring) remained sidelined for Sunday’s loss and is listed as questionable for this contest. The Knicks rank 20th in the league in defensive efficiency and are playing on consecutive days. Look for New York to win on the road in a game that goes over the total.
