Knicks vs Hawks Picks and Prediction – 11/7/2024

The Knicks (3-3) feature one of the most talented starting lineups in the NBA and are looking to make their first conference finals appearance since 2000. On Monday, New York’s bench scored just three points during a 109-97 road loss against Houston. 

All-Star G Jalen Brunson tallied a game-high 29 points on 9-for-24 shooting and dished out eight assists. New York F OG Anunoby scored 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns added 17 points and 19 rebounds for the Knicks, who shot just 39 percent from the field. 

The Atlanta Hawks are a game below .500 at home and have assembled a number of talented pieces around All-Star G Trae Young. The Hawks (3-5) need to improve a defense that ranks 25th in efficiency and are surrendering a shade below 122 points per game. On Monday, Atlanta was outscored by 17 points during the second quarter of an ugly 123-93 home loss versus Boston. 

Jalen Johnson led five Atlanta players in double figures with 20 points on 7-for-20 shooting and pulled down 11 boards. Onyeka Okongwu added 18 points (8-12 FG) and ten rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench. Trae Young missed all six three-point attempts and finished with a season-low two points. 

Atlanta F De’Andre Hunter has missed the last few games with a knee injury and is listed as questionable for this contest. The Knicks had an off shooting night last time out and will find the Hawks’ defense much more accommodating. Take New York to win by double digits. Final Score Prediction, New York Knicks win 119-106.
