Pelicans vs Timberwolves Picks and Prediction – 3/22/2025

On Wednesday, New Orleans assisted on 28 of 47 made field goals and shot 53 percent overall during a 119-115 road victory against Minnesota. 

Zion Williamson led six New Orleans players in double figures with 29 points (12-16 FG), eight assists, and five boards. Veteran G C.J. McCollum chipped in 18 points (7-18 FG) and six rebounds. Bruce Brown added 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Pelicans. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves are four games above .500 at home and trail Golden State by one game for sixth place in the Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves (40-31) rank sixth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing a shade below 110 points per game. During Wednesday’s home loss, Minnesota was outrebounded by a 46-40 margin and shot 46 percent from the field. 

All-Star G Anthony Edwards converted 15 of 17 free-throw attempts and matched a game-high with 29 points. Minnesota F Julius Randle scored 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting and finished with a game-worst minus 20 rating. Mike Conley added 16 points for the Timberwolves, who have won eight of their last ten games. 

New Orleans F Trey Murphy III suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season. The Timberwolves are the superior defensive squad and have an edge on the glass.
