NBA Prop Bets - Wednesday 10/23/2024
The Memphis Grizzlies open up their regular season on the road versus the Utah Jazz, who will also be playing their first game of the season on Wednesday. Memphis missed the postseason last year in a big part due to Ja Morant playing just nine games. Utah did not make the postseason in 2023-24. Keep up to date with all the NBA action with our expert NBA picks.
Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz
Memphis Grizzlies - Ja Morant Points Over 25.5 (-115)
Memphis star Ja Morant is back in the Grizzlies’ lineup after playing just nine games last season. The point guard has a career average of 22.5 points per game but over the last three seasons including his abbreviated 2023-24 season, Morant averaged between 25.1 and 27.4 points per game. We are confident that on opening night for Memphis, Morant will take control of the offense and score at least 26 points versus Utah.
Utah Jazz - Team Total Points Under 112.5 (-110)
Last season the Utah Jazz scored an average of 115.7 points per game, while the Memphis Grizzlies held opponents to an average of 112.8 points per game. Memphis will have rookie Zach Edey on the court and the 7’4” center will clog up the paint and make Utah’s leading scorer from a season ago Lauri Markkanen work harder for every point. In addition, Edey will make it hard for players to drive to the basket.
