Timberwolves vs Jazz Picks and Prediction – 1/31/2025

The Timberwolves (26-21) are riding a four-game winning streak and are a game out of fifth place in the Western Conference standings. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Minnesota, who outscored Phoenix by 12 points during the second half of a 121-113 victory. 

All-Star G Anthony Edwards matched a game-high with 33 points on 11-for-20 shooting and pulled down seven boards. Julius Randle contributed 28 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Timberwolves. Nickeil Alexander-Walker knocked down half of his ten three-point attempts and finished with 23 points off the Minnesota bench. 

The Utah Jazz are in the midst of a seven-game losing streak and own the worst record in the Western Conference. The Jazz (10-35) rank second worst in the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 118.5 points per game. On Tuesday, Utah was outscored by 11 points during the second quarter of a 114-103 road loss against Golden State. 

Utah G Collin Sexton tallied a game-high 30 points on 12-for-19 shooting and dished out four assists. Drew Eubanks and Micah Potter scored 13 points apiece on a combined 11-for-14 from the field. Keyontae George added 12 points, six rebounds, and six assists for the Jazz.

Minnesota G Donte DiVincenzo is recovering from a turf toe injury and hopes to return sometime next month. The Timberwolves rank fifth in the league in defensive efficiency and the Jazz struggle to get stops. Take Minnesota to cruise to a road cover against a Utah squad fielding a G-League level roster.
