Timberwolves vs Heat Picks and Prediction – 3/8/2025

On Wednesday, Minnesota raced out to an 11-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 125-110 road victory against Charlotte. 

All-Star G Anthony Edwards and F Jaden McDaniels led Minnesota with 29 points apiece on a combined 22-for-41 shooting effort. Julius Randle contributed 25 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. Naz Reid added 13 points and ten boards for the Timberwolves, who were outrebounded by a 57-43 margin.

The Miami Heat are three games above .500 at home and are clinging to a one-game lead over Orlando for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Heat (29-32) rank 13th in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 110.6 points per game. On Wednesday, Miami shot 43 percent from the field and was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 112-107 road loss against Cleveland. 

Miami F/C Bam Adebayo tallied a game-high 34 points (11-18 FG), 12 rebounds, and five assists. Duncan Robinson knocked down half of his eight three-point attempts and finished with 14 points. Haywood Highsmith added 13 points and three boards off the Heat bench. 

Miami G Tyler Herro (illness) did not play during Wednesday’s loss and is listed as day-to-day. The Heat play at the slowest tempo in the league and the Timberwolves rank 23rd in the category.
