Timberwolves vs Grizzlies Picks and Prediction – 1/20/2025

All-Star G Anthony Edwards led six Minnesota players in double figures with 28 points (9-22 FG) and five assists. Julius Randle added 20 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Naz Reid scored 16 points in 26 minutes off the bench for the Timberwolves.

The Memphis Grizzlies have won 15 of their first 20 home games and trail Houston by 1.5 games for second place in the Western Conference standings. The Grizzlies (27-15) rank fifth in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 123.4 points per game. On Friday, Memphis outscored San Antonio by 30 points during the second half to run away with a 140-112 road victory. 

Santi Aldama tallied a game-high 29 points on 10-for-19 shooting in 30 minutes off the Memphis bench. Desmond Bane and Jaylen Wells scored 22 points apiece on a combined 18-for-28 from the field. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 19 points and four assists for the Grizzlies, who shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field. 

Memphis G Ja Morant did not play in Friday’s victory due to a foot injury and is listed as day-to-day. The Grizzlies are the only team in the NBA that ranks in the top five in offensive and defensive efficiency. Take Memphis to win at home. Final Score Prediction, Memphis Grizzlies win 114-105.
