Heat vs Celtics Picks and Prediction – 5/1/2024

The eighth-seeded Heat ranked fifth in the league in defensive efficiency, but their lack of offensive firepower has been evident in this best-of-seven series. In Game Four, Miami shot 41 percent from the field and turned the ball over 15 times during a 102-88 road loss.

All-Star C Bam Adebayo led Miami with 25 points on 11-for-22 shooting and grabbed 17 rebounds. Tyler Herro scored 19 points (8-17 FG) and committed five turnovers. Caleb Martin added 18 points and five rebounds for the Heat. 

The Boston Celtics won 37 of their 41 home games during the regular season, but dropped Game Two against Miami in TD Garden. The Celtics bounced back with two convincing victories on the road to take a 3-1 series lead and rank third in the postseason in offensive efficiency. During Monday’s road triumph, Boston built a 17-point halftime lead and connected on 14-for-37 from the three-point line. 

Boston G Derrick White erupted for a career high 38 points on a 15-for-26 shooting performance. All-Star F Jayson Tatum contributed 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. All-Star G Jaylen Brown added 17 points and five boards for the Celtics.
