Grizzlies vs Magic Picks and Prediction – 2/22/2025

The Grizzlies (36-19) are two games above .500 on the road and are tied with Denver for second place in the Western Conference standings. Last night, Memphis was torched for 50 points during the second quarter of a 127-113 road loss against Indiana. 

Memphis G Desmond Bane tallied a game-high 23 points (9-16 FG), seven assists, and five rebounds. All-Star F Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. Jayeln Wells added 17 points and four boards for the Grizzlies, who shot 41 percent from the field.  

The Orlando Magic have won 17 of their first 27 home games and are sitting in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Magic (27-29) rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 105.4 points per contest. Last night, Orlando made the plays down the stretch to earn a 114-108 road victory against Atlanta. 

Former number one overall draft pick Paolo Banchero led four Orlando players in double figures with 36 points (11-25 FG), ten rebounds, and five assists. Franz Wagner chipped in 25 points and seven rebounds. Cole Anthony added 17 points and five boards for the Magic. 

Orlando G Jalen Suggs (quad) was unable to suit up on Thursday and is unlikely to play in this game. The Grizzlies are playing at the fastest tempo in the league and rank third in offensive efficiency. Look for Memphis to use their advantage on the glass and get the road victory.
