Grizzlies vs Mavericks Picks and Prediction – 3/8/2025

The Grizzlies (38-24) are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and hold a one-game lead over Houston for fourth place in the Western Conference standings. On Wednesday, Memphis turned the ball over 16 times and shot 41 percent from the field during a 120-103 home loss versus Oklahoma City. 

Ja Morant led five Memphis players in double figures with 24 points (8-22 FG) and six assists. Scotty Pippen Jr. added 15 points and five rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench. Desmond Bane missed nine of 14 three-point attempts and finished with 15 points for the Grizzlies. 

The Dallas Mavericks have been left reeling after All-Star G Kyrie Irving suffered a season ending injury and are sitting in tenth place in the Western Conference standings. The Mavericks (32-31) rank in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency and are giving up 114 points per game. On Wednesday, Dallas allowed Milwaukee to shoot a sizzling 58 percent during a 137-107 road loss. 

Dallas G Klay Thompson knocked down 6-for-14 from long distance and finished with a team-high 28 points. Naji Marshall scored 22 points on 10-for-18 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds. Brandon Williams added 14 points, eight assists, and five boards off the bench for the Mavericks.

Memphis F Jaren Jackson Jr. suffered a Grade 2 left ankle sprain and is considered week-to-week. The Grizzlies are playing at the fastest tempo in the league and will miss Jackson’s defensive presence, so the over is worth a look.
