Grizzlies vs Hornets Picks and Prediction – 4/8/2025

On Saturday, Memphis held Detroit to 39 percent shooting during a 109-103 road victory. 

Memphis G Desmond Bane poured in a game-high 38 points on 15-for-23 shooting and pulled down seven boards. All-Star F Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 27 points and 11 rebounds. Rookie C Zach Edey secured a career-high 21 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who dominated the Pistons on the glass by a 64-44 margin. 

The Charlotte Hornets have dropped 28 of their 40 home games and own the second worst overall record in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets (19-59) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a measly 105.7 points per game. On Sunday, Charlotte was outscored by 19 points during the second quarter of a 131-117 home loss versus Chicago. 

Talented C Mark Williams led Charlotte with 22 points (7-11 FG) and nine rebounds. Jusuf Nurkic and K.J. Simpson scored 18 points apiece on a combined 15-for-24 shooting effort. The Hornets missed 22 of 30 three-point attempts and shot 48 percent overall.

Memphis G Ja Morant (illness) did not play during Saturday’s victory and is expected to play in this game. The Grizzlies are playing at the fastest tempo in the league, so the over is worth a look.
