Lakers vs Thunder Picks and Prediction – 4/6/2025

The Lakers (47-30) have split their previous ten games and are clinging to a half-game lead over Denver for third place in the Western Conference standings. On Friday, Los Angeles assisted on 26 of 41 made field goals and shot 52 percent overall during a 124-108 home victory versus New Orleans. 

All-Star G Luka Doncic erupted for a game-high 35 points (11-11 FT) to go along with six rebounds and six assists. Los Angeles G Austin Reaves contributed 30 points (8-13 FG) and seven assists. LeBron James added 27 points and eight assists for the Lakers, who improved to 30-10 at home. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder have won 34 of their first 39 home games and hold a 1.5 game lead over Cleveland for the best overall record in the NBA. The Thunder (64-13) lead the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 107.2 points per contest. On Friday, Oklahoma City fell behind by 16 points at halftime and committed 15 turnovers during a 125-111 road loss against Houston. 

All-Star F Jalen Williams led four Oklahoma City players in double figures with 33 points (14-21 FG) and four assists. MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was limited to 22 points on 10-for-22 from the field. Chet Holmgren added 20 points and four boards for the Thunder, who were dominated on the glass by a 48-33 margin. 

Los Angeles F Rui Hachimura (knee) did not play during Friday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this game. The Thunder have plenty of motivation in this spot.
