Lakers vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 3/10/2025

The Lakers (40-22) have won eight of their last ten games and trail Denver by a half-game for second place in the Western Conference standings. On Saturday, Los Angeles was outscored by 16 points during the third quarter of a 111-101 road loss against Boston. 

All-Star G Luka Doncic led Los Angeles with 34 points on 11-for-22 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Four-time MVP LeBron James added 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Austin Reaves scored 16 points for the Lakers, who have split their first 30 road games. 

The Brooklyn Nets are looking to snap a seven-game losing streak and have a long rebuilding road ahead of them. The Nets (21-42) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a measly 105.1 points per contest. On Saturday, Brooklyn missed 36 of 50 three-point attempts during a 105-102 road loss against Charlotte. 

Brooklyn G D’Angelo Russell tallied a game-high 28 points (10-18 FG), seven assists, and six rebounds. F Ziaire Williams scored 19 points on 6-for-11 shooting and blocked two shots. Cam Thomas added 16 points and three assists for the Nets, who fell to 12-21 on the road. 

Los Angeles F LeBron James will miss the next 1-2 weeks with a groin strain and G Luka Doncic (back) is considered questionable for this game. The Lakers are coming off two nationally televised games and now are banged up against a Brooklyn squad that continues to play hard. Take the Nets to pull off the upset at home.
