Pacers vs Thunder Picks and Prediction – 6/6/2025

The 2025 NBA Finals will get underway on Thursday night, when the Indiana Pacers travel to the Paycom Center to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Pacers have won six of their first eight road playoff games and are making their second finals appearance in franchise history. On Saturday, Indiana assisted on 30 of 46 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall during a 125-108 home victory versus New York. 

All-Star F Pascal Siakam led seven Indiana players in double figures with 31 points (10-18 FG) and five rebounds. Tyrese Haliburton continued his stellar postseason play with 21 points, 13 assists, and six boards. Obi Toppin added 18 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Pacers, who connected on 17-of-33 from long distance.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were the best defensive team during the regular season and have been even better during the playoffs. The Thunder have won eight of their first nine home playoff contests and are averaging a winning margin of just below 25 points. Last time out, Oklahoma City limited Minnesota to nine points during the first quarter of a 124-94 home victory. 

MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied a game-high 34 points (14-25 FG), eight assists, and seven rebounds. Oklahoma City F/C Chet Holmgren chipped in 22 points (8-13 FG) and seven boards. All-Star F Jalen Williams added 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Thunder. 

Indiana F Jarace Walker (ankle) was on crutches after Saturday’s victory and his status for the series opener is uncertain. The Thunder are playing at the second fastest tempo during the playoffs and the Pacers will be willing to run with them. Take Oklahoma City and continue their home dominance and cover in Game One.
