Pacers vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 1/7/2025

The Pacers (18-18) have won seven of their last ten games and are a half-game out of fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Saturday, Indiana outscored Phoenix by 18 points during the second half of a 126-108 home victory. 

All-Star G Tyrese Haliburton tallied a game-high 27 points on 8-for-19 shooting and dished out eight assists. Indiana C Myles Turner chipped in 20 points (9-17 FG) and six rebounds. Pascal Siakam added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Pacers, who outrebounded the Suns by a 47-36 margin. 

The Brooklyn Nets have dropped ten of their first 15 home games and are in the midst of a long rebuilding effort. The Nets (13-22) rank in the bottom third of the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 107.7 points per contest. On Saturday, Brooklyn was outscored in each quarter and shot 42 percent from the field during an ugly 123-94 home loss versus Philadelphia. 

Brooklyn F Ziaire Williams knocked down 4-for-6 from long distance and finished with a team-high 19 points. Tyrese Martin scored 16 points (6-18 FG) in 29 minutes off the bench. Keon Johnson added 15 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists for the Nets. 

Indiana F Aaron Nesmith (ankle) has resumed practicing and is expected to return to the lineup next week. The Pacers rank 24th in the league in defensive efficiency and that is a big reason for their road woes. Take the Nets to bounce back from a dismal effort and pull off the upset at home.
