Alperen Sengun led five Houston players in double figures with 22 points (7-17 FG), five rebounds, and five assists. Amen Thompson added 19 points and nine rebounds off the bench for the Rockets, who missed 24 of 32 three-point attempts. 

The Minnesota Timberwolves have won five of their first seven home games and trail San Antonio by a half-game for tenth place in the Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves (8-8) rank 12th in the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring 112.8 points per game. On Sunday, Minnesota was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 107-105 road loss against Boston. 

All-Star G Anthony Edwards tallied a team-high 28 points (9-21 FG) to go along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Minnesota F Julius Randle added 23 points on 7-for-15 shooting and pulled down eight boards. Rookie G Rob Dillingham scored 14 points in 16 minutes off the bench for the Timberwolves. 

Minnesota G Mike Conley (toe) did not play in Sunday’s loss and is listed as day-to-day. Houston G Fred VanVleet is likely to be suspended after being ejected for verbally abusing the referees on Saturday. Take the Timberwolves to get the job done on their home floor.
