Pistons vs Rockets Picks and Prediction – 1/20/2025

The Houston Rockets have won 14 of their first 20 home games and hold a 1.5 game lead over Memphis for second place in the Western Conference standings. The Rockets (28-13) rank third in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing a shade below 108 points per contest. On Saturday, Houston outscored Portland by 21 points during the second half of a 125-103 road victory against lowly Portland. 

Houston G Jalen Green tallied a game-high 26 points on 10-for-17 shooting and pulled down five boards. Alperen Sengun contributed 23 points (10-19 FG), 15 rebounds, and six assists. Dillon Brooks added 22 points and six rebounds for the Rockets, who knocked down 14-for-31 from long distance. 

Houston F Jabari Smith Jr. suffered a fractured left hand and is expected to be sidelined until March. These two teams feature better defenses than offenses and neither play at a fast tempo.
