Pistons vs Hornets Picks and Prediction – 11/22/2024

The Pistons (7-9) have won six of their last ten games and are tied for tenth in the league in defensive efficiency. On Monday, Detroit trailed by 11 points after one quarter and could never recover during a 122-112 home loss versus Chicago. 

Cade Cunningham led five Detroit players in double figures with 26 points, ten assists, and six rebounds. Malik Beasley scored 21 points on 8-for-19 shooting in 30 minutes off the bench. Jalen Duren added 15 points and 22 rebounds for the Pistons. 

The Charlotte Hornets are a game above .500 at home and are tied with Milwaukee for 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hornets (5-9) rank in the bottom third of the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging less than 110 points per game. On Tuesday, Charlotte was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 116-115 road loss against Brooklyn. 

Second year pro Brandon Miller tallied a team-high 29 points on 11-for-17 from the field. Charlotte F Miles Bridges connected on 5-for-9 from long distance and finished with 21 points. Tre Mann added 19 points and six assists for the Hornets, who lost despite knocking down 20-for-37 from the three-point line. 

Detroit F Bobi Klintma is recovering from a calf injury and there is currently no timetable for this return. These two teams are very similar statistically and the Hornets won the previous meeting by a point. The Pistons are better on the defensive end of the floor and that will be difference.
