Pistons vs Hawks Picks and Prediction – 1/23/2025

The Atlanta Hawks are four games above .500 at home and are tied with Orlando for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hawks (22-20) are playing at the second fastest tempo in the league and are averaging 117 points per contest. On Monday, Atlanta was outscored by 13 points during the third quarter of a 119-110 road loss against New York. 

All-Star G Trae Young led seven Atlanta players in double figures with 27 points (8-22 FG) and six assists. De’Andre Hunter scored 22 points on 7-for-14 shooting in 30 minutes off the bench. Onyeka Okongwu added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks.

Number one overall draft pick Zaccharie Risacher (thigh) did not play during Monday’s loss and is expected to remain sidelined for this game. These two teams are very similar statistically, so the spread seems about right. Look for the pace to be fast and for Atlanta to win at home in a game that goes over the total.
