Nuggets vs Magic Picks and Prediction – 1/19/2025

The Nuggets (25-18) have won seven of their last ten games and have moved into fourth place in the Western Conference standings. On Friday, Denver built a 12-point halftime lead and cruised to a 133-113 road triumph against Miami. 

Denver G Jamal Murray tallied a game-high 30 points (12-24 FG), eight assists, and seven rebounds. MVP Nikola Jokic contributed 24 points (9-12 FG), 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Aaron Gordon added 16 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Nuggets, who connected on 16-for-33 from long distance. 

The Orlando Magic have won 14 of their first 21 home games and trail Indiana by a half-game for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Magic (23-20) rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 104.1 points per contest. On Friday, Orlando was outscored by 15 points during the second half of a 121-94 road loss against NBA Champion Boston. 

Cole Anthony led four Orlando players in double figures with 23 points (9-15 FG) and seven assists. All-Star F Paolo Banchero added 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Anthony Black scored 13 points in 29 minutes off the Magic bench. 

Orlando F Franz Wagner (oblique) has been cleared for contact in practice and is expected to return to the lineup next week. The Magic are the better defensive team and can keep up with the Nuggets on the glass. Take Orlando to pull off the upset at home. Final Score Prediction, Orlando Magic win 112-109.
