Nuggets vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 10/29/2024

The Tuesday NBA schedule will tip off with a matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Brooklyn Nets from the Barclays Center. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Nuggets dropped their first two games and have seen a drastic decline in their offensive production (95.5 ppg). This will be the second of a back-to-back for Denver, who faced Toronto on Monday night. 

On Saturday, Denver was unable to make the plays down the stretch during a 109-104 home loss versus LA. Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic poured in a game-high 41 points on 14-for-26 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. 

The Brooklyn Nets dealt Mikal Bridges to New York in exchange for a major draft pick haul and are focused on rebuilding. The Nets (1-2) were expected to play faster for new head coach Jordi Fernandez, but currently rank 27th in the league in tempo. On Sunday, Brooklyn outscored Milwaukee by eight points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 115-102 home victory. 

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas continued his stellar start to the season by leading all scorers with 32 points. Veteran G Dennis Schroder contributed 29 points (8-15 FG) and six assists for the Nets, who connected on 16-for-45 from the three-point line. 

Brooklyn C Day’Ron Sharpe suffered a left hamstring strain and will miss the next several weeks. The Nuggets rank last in the league in offensive efficiency, but that will change. Look for Jokic to dominate the paint and lead Denver to a victory that goes over the total. Final Score Prediction, Denver Nuggets win 116-109.
