The Houston Rockets have won 23 of their first 33 home games and are just a game out of second place in the Western Conference standings. The Rockets (41-25) are tied for second in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 108.8 points per contest. On Wednesday, Houston made the plays down the stretch to earn a 111-104 home victory versus Phoenix. 

Houston G Jalen Green tallied a game-high 29 points on 8-for-16 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. All-Star C Alperen Sengun contributed 20 points (7-7 FG), seven assists, and four boards. Tari Eason added 15 points and ten rebounds for the Rockets, who shot 46 percent from the field. 

Houston F Amen Thompson suffered a left ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined until later next week. The Mavericks rank 11th in the league in offensive efficiency, but losing Luka Doncic via trade and Kyrie Irving due to injury has made getting buckets difficult.
