Mavericks vs Warriors Picks and Prediction – 2/23/2025

In the second game of a Sunday afternoon NBA on ABC doubleheader, the Dallas Mavericks will square off against the Golden State Warriors from the Chase Center. On Friday, Dallas converted 21 of 27 free-throw attempts during a 111-103 home victory versus New Orleans. 

Dallas G Kyrie Irving poured in a game-high 35 points on 11-for-22 shooting and dropped four dimes. P.J. Washington contributed 24 points (8-17 FG) and seven rebounds. Max Christie added 16 points off the bench for the Mavericks, who improved to 18-11 at home. 

The Golden State Warriors are two games above .500 at home and trail Dallas by 1.5 games for seventh place in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors (29-27) rank ninth in the league in defensive efficiency and are allowing 111.5 points per game. On Friday, Golden State assisted on 40 of 50 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall during an impressive 132-108 road triumph against Sacramento. 

Buddy Hield and Moses Moody led five Golden State players in double figures with 22 points apiece on a combined 16-for-22 shooting performance. Brandin Podziemski chipped in 21 points (9-20 FG) and five assists. All-Star G Steph Curry added 20 points and six assists for the Warriors. 

Dallas F/C Anthony Davis (adductor) and Golden State F Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) will remain sidelined for this contest. These two teams have pretty similar statistical profiles, but much has changed over the last few weeks. The Mavericks still have enough firepower to keep things close. Take the points.
